Green Cleaning Tips: How to Naturally Clean your Oven

A lot of products out there claim to offer the solution for stubborn oven stains. Some of them work, but they also have chemicals. It's much safer in home cleaning, to use natural products, which are just as effective.
Potential homebuyers love to look inside every thing. They will open up cabinets in every room, open the dishwasher, open the refrigerator and yes, even your oven. Be proactive. The easiest way to keep your oven clean is to prevent spills from happening in the first place. If your oven is clean, put aluminum foil on the bottom rack. Do this right before you turn the oven on. That way if anything spills, it will land on the foil and you can discard the foil when you are done.
Step 1
Clean your oven with a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar. Combine five tablespoons of baking soda with four tablespoons of white vinegar. Then add a few drops of liquid dish detergent. Mix it until a paste forms and wipe it inside the oven. Rinse thoroughly and wipe your oven clean.
Step 2
Use salt to clean fresh spills. Stains are much easier to remove if you clean them immediately. Sprinkle salt on the spill while it is still warm. Wipe it off after it cools. The salt will also have a deodorizing effect. You can add cinnamon to add to the fragrance. Salt can also be an effective cleaner for stovetops as well.
Step 3
Use lemon juice and salt for old stubborn stains. Combine a half-cup of lemon juice with a half-cup of salt. Mix it together and pour directly onto the spots. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then wipe it off.
